Description
The optimization saw KP500 Optim is designed for woodworking companies that process massive wood and place maximum emphasis on the quality and yield of its production. The optimization saw KP 500 Optim is used for cutting out defects and optimizing fixed lengths of slats in the production of glued prisms, joints, massive furniture parts, parquets, floor boards, decking, packaging, etc. The solid and robust construction of the optimization saw ensures accurate and fast cutting of wood. The feed device moves the cut material to the cut with great speed and positioning accuracy within ± 0.3 mm. The saw operator performs a visual evaluation of the piece and marks the places with errors with chalk. The material is placed on the loading table of the machine, where the length and marked defects are automatically read. This information is processed by the powerful NC control of the machine, which establishes the cutting plan of the inserted material. This is followed by an automatic start and moving of the material into the cut. The cut parts at the output of the optimization saw correspond to the requirements according to the marked defects and the specified fixed lengths of the material. It goes without saying that there are safety features that ensure the safety of work on the optimization saw. The machine meets the strict requirements for work safety resulting from the relevant EC regulations and directives.

Basic device functions
Length optimization
In the beginning, the lengths and number of pieces of the desired assortment are entered into the parts list. We can then activate this data in the optimization program. It consists in the combination of individual selected lengths of the cut assortment in order to minimize waste. At the same time, the parts list monitors the amount of material being cut and stops work when the task is completed in the specified range. The saw automatically measures the length of the inserted material, so that several inserted lengths can be combined without the need for prior sorting. In the program, it is possible to set the desired length of cutting faces. On the rear belt conveyor there are positions for sorting lumber according to lengths. The individual punches are started when a part of the specified length is cut off. Sorting is done by slides into prepared boxes or on a side slide. The number of optimized lengths is unlimited.
Qualitative optimization
waste Optimizing lumber according to quality allows you to use the work cycle of previous functions together with the possibility to mark lumber defects with chalk. The operator performs a visual evaluation of the piece, marking with chalk the places with defects that must be cut out. The chalk contains a substance that is recorded by the saw’s control system. By crossing the stop above the cut material during the reverse movement, the current positions of the necessary cuts are recorded. The resulting parts in different lengths between the cut defects are automatically remeasured and cut to fixed lengths using the computer according to the optimized cutting scheme. The parts list determines the number of cut pieces of a given length. If the cut part does not meet the length of the smallest selected assortment, it goes to waste. Production capacity optimization line
Production capacity is determined by the dimensions of the processed material, its quality and the manufactured assortments. For the calculation, the average loading speed data is 60 m/min. and a speed of one cutting cycle of approximately 1.0 second. For material 5 m long, spruce, 30 x 90 mm, 4 cuts per 1 m, the production capacity is 200 – 300 m / hour.
Output sorting conveyor options
Rear sorting conveyor with the possibility of longitudinal sorting into several storage boxes. The system works on the principle of electronic measurement of lengths and sorting into boxes using punches.
